Ok, so today went rough in the beginning. By the afternoon all of my trades turned around. I have noticed that there have been some trading opportunities later in the trading sessions and that’s where I made my gains after a tough morning. My first two trades happened almost simultaneously. I placed two stop limits on two different stocks right at the open. The first was a stop limit on AKTX right at $8.40 cents. I got filled and it immediately jumped in the profit. I exited the position when my profit got above $500. (see the chart below)

Gotta love the open range breakout to start the morning. The next trade was very similar to the first but on ticker ATOS. I placed a Stop Limit order on ATOS at $5.00. I filled and flattened the position when the price action stalled in the profit giving me about +$370. (see the chart below)

I am going to have to get better at my computer drawing skills. Anyways, after these trades I tried placing another Stop limit on AKTX for the break of $9 dollars. I got filled but the price action quickly went to the downside costing me most of my morning profits leaving me with $275 green. I did the same on ATOS but this trade had no mercy. I placed the Second trade entry just below the $5.50 cent mark @ $5.49 cent for the half dollar break, and it immediately pulled back. I also held too long expecting there to be some choppy volatility, but, I held too long and it quickly went from +$540 to (-$600). OUCH.

After these trades I took a break to reflect on the charts and the trades. I noticed a pattern on ATOS. (see the chart below) and decided to trade the support bounces.

This was a bit risky but it paid off because I ultimately got back into the green +$175. I used 1500 shares to trade with to make these trades happen. I then traded ATOS a couple more times throughout the trading day ending overall with a nice profit of over +$800 dollars. (see the chart below to see the trades I made on ATOS in the evening session)

These trades took a little more patience than the morning session because the momentum is not the same. The price action is slower but still profitable. I then ……as I was typing this, took another trade on ATOS as it started to break out on the closing session. I made a solid +$300 dollars adding to the overall, giving me a finishing Total of +$1,181 dollars to end the day. (see the chart below for the Trade details)

This was a great way to finish the trading day!!! In the GREEN!!! This was the main trade of the day so I will end the recap here. overall totals on the day, +$1,675.

  1. Say I am out of daytrades, do you think it’s too risky to still make a trade and hold on to it overnight?

  2. I would be very cautious about holding any trade that has had a major spike! Be cautious on this one, ive seen many get burnt by the anxiousness of watching the market and deciding that even though your out of round trip trades, to make one out of being anxious.
